Throwback to the past. At the tobacco auction, all the farmers selling their crop, and the business men shopping for the best product. Looking from man to man, they're all different, and that was my favorite part to capture during the creative process. Even a gentlemen enjoying the product, with a cigarette burning in his mouth.
An organic feel, created with pen and watercolor. Highly contrasting and vibrant colors, red and yellow, used prominently in this piece. The bundles of tobacco drawing your eye into the artwork. Pen outlining the men in the front, and then leaving off that pen outline for the men in the back which gives a sense of depth to the drawing. The drawing is packed with character.
