A friend of mine sent me old candid photos of him, his brother, and dad. This was amongst the mix, and I immediately knew it had to be drawn. The moment was simple. It seemed as though time had stopped and life was easy. The boys, all out fishing, and the mom there capturing the moment.
Using pen to created the weeded grass that chaoticly adds so much tecture to the piece. Then the three boys, all the folds of their clothes, the loyal mutt all coming together to create this rustic style drawing.
